CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Preparation of abstracts
The 1 page abstracts (only text, no figures, tables, or graphics) are to be prepared according to the BME2019 template below and be submitted before October 15th 2018. If you want all (co)authors in the Book of Abstracts Authors Index, make sure you mention them all in your submission!
 
To submit your abstract you first need a login account. Within a few seconds you will receive your password by email. After signing on with your personal account you can submit your abstract by going to your User Area and clicking the  “Abstract Submission" button. After login in you can submit your abstract at the user area. 
After submission you will immediately receive a confirmation by email.
 
Template
Please use the original BME2019 abstract template.  This template is already set with the correct page size, fonts, line spacing and margins, as required for BME2019 book of abstracts. This will ensure that you are using the correct format.
 
Please convert your BME2019 abstract to a PDF file. Be sure to embed the fonts when creating the PDF.
  • DO NOT password protect your file.
  • Make sure the filename has only one extension (“.pdf”) 
PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
Oral presentations
A regular oral presentation is 15 minutes per speaker (including questions and discussion). All presentation should be given in English.
The lecture rooms are fully equipped with a computer, projector and mirophones. There will be no time to upload your presentation during the sessions. You can therefore upload your presentation before the 1st session or during the break/lunch before your session. Please be on time and do not forget to inform your session chair about your presence. We would really appreciate your presence during the complete session so we can reschedule presentations in case other presenters do not show up.
 
Poster presentations
The poster session will be held on Thursday, January 24th, 2019 in 2 sessions
  • You can use your own template. There is no required layout besides the maximum allowed size A0 (1189mm x 841mm) in PORTRAIT.
  • The posters will divided over 2 sessions. Session 1: the Even poster numbers; Session 2: the Odd poster numbers 
  • Your poster will get a number which corresponds to the number on the poster board.
  • Your poster will be judged for Best Poster award by a jury. Please stand next to your poster to answer the questions of the jury members.
